The Best Hen Party Locations

No comments :
Hen parties are very popular, especially in Europe. Women who are getting married usually plan these events to celebrate the transition from singlehood to married life. A Bride-to-be usually leaves the planning of her hen party up to the maid-of-honor. However, the maid-of-honor may delegate responsibilities out to the rest of the wedding party, or she may even hire a service to help plan the perfect pre-wedding celebration. Often a hen party will include traditionally feminine activities such as a pajama party, or playing get-to-know-you games. Other traditionally feminine activities may include planning a visit to a health and beauty spa for a makeover or other beauty treatment, or a massage.

Not all hen parties are typical feminine parties though. In fact, many hen parties include the same activities that a stag party (bachelor party) would consist of. Hen parties take place in quite a few European cities, and some of those cities include the following:

London: At this location, hen party groups can enjoy a friendly competitive game of paintball, or they can participate in a fast go karting race. This may be a perfect place for a hen party, especially if there are single invitees looking to meet some sexy guys. Other hen (or stag) party activities that take place in London include clay pigeon shooting and hovercraft racing.

Bournemouth: Yacht rides are available here along with some of the highest quality hotel accommodations. There are also inexpensive rooms available in this city at various hostels, and there are quaint guest houses for rent as well. Hen party guests and guests-of-honor (including the soon-to-be bride) can enjoy the perks of the affluent on the day (or more than one day) of this special pre-wedding celebration.

Budapest: For a memorable experience some hen party groups would prefer a Hungarian weekend party. After a few days of mildly excessive partying Hungarian style, the bride can meet her groom by the Danube River to celebrate the beginning of their lives together. There are hen weekend packages already designed for both the bride-to-be and the rest of the wedding party and other stag party attendees. Party packages can be made tailored to the needs and desires of an individual group.

Newcastle: A group of activities that bachelorettes can participate in is casino night. They can also take a "booze cruise" or they can visit some of the finest night clubs features lap dancing ladies. Hen weekend packages in Newcastle are usually designed to include accommodations and certain
admission fees, and in some cases the cost of a party package includes items such as drinks.

Prague: A Hen party group can take part in fine dining and socialize in some of the most upscale clubs located within Prague. Additionally, grooms-to-be along with the rest of the wedding party and group of single women can flirt with sexy male models who have worked hard to be able to show of their best features.

Bristol: Both locals and visitors can enjoy celebrating the end of singlehood in the city of Bristol. There are budget party packages as well as packages designed for those of which money is no object.

Dublin: Engaged women and their wedding parties are more than likely not to be bored while participating in a hen celebration in this city. In fact, entire weekend trips are often planned for what could be called one of the most important celebrations of the pre-bride's lifetime. One very popular activity that takes place in Dublin is that of deep sea fishing.

Newquay: There are Newquay packages that are designed for any budget. One of the most exhilarating activities that stage weekend attendees could involve themselves in is waveskiing (waterskiing), or just simply lying on the beach. All attendees of will be likely to find this event to be an exhilarating hen weekend adventure.

Riga: Riga is the Capital City of Latvia. This is considered one of the most popular travel destinations in Europe. Riga is rich with historical sites of pre-WWII times. Hen party groups can also frequent the many clubs located in this city, and they may wish to participate in activities that are thought of to be a "man's" sport, such as 4x4 racing. (Don't quote the writer on this, however. It depends on what the male and female customs are in this city.)

Leeds: This is the third largest city in the UK. Horse racing takes place in this city, as well as football matches. Rugby and cricket are also very popular here. When it gets to be nighttime many people like to go dancing in the city of Leeds, as well as enjoy local cuisine. Some of these are traditionally feminine activities and some of these are activities that both men and women can participate in.
An entire hen party can be planned online. Additionally, there are also similarly structured parties that are tailored to bachelor males/grooms-to be. These are called stag parties, and you can find articles describing all kinds of stag parties.

Alex works for Hen Party organisers, Hen Party, who are european hen party specialists, who arrange tailored stag and hen party events around the UK and Europe.

Some Tips to Travel on a Budget

Travel Supermarket
Traveling on a budget requires doing a fair amount of research a few weeks before you actually set off. Look for the many budget-friendly options that you can avail of to travel either for business or for pleasure.

First of all get on the Internet to check out the best fares A few hours of surfing will help you find great deals, be it by air or rail. Air travel is the fastest but most expensive way to reach your destination. Make use of websites such as travel supermarket and skyscanner.

There are some no-frills airlines that have significantly lower rates than other regular airlines. You may need to book a great deal in advance or even be able to travel at short notice, but that's a small price to pay when you get your ticket at a fraction of its actual cost. If you book your vacation in the off-season, airfares drop. The time of day you choose to fly also impacts fares. For instance the red-eye and mid-day flights in Florida offer significantly lower fares as well. For tickets use websites like Travelocity and expedia.

Tourist’s Guide to Fit-in In London

No comments :
London

Going to London, whether traveling or migrating can be a lot of fun, but we all know that things can easily get awkward when you don’t plan ahead right, especially in a foreign place with a highly diverse culture. American has the reputation in UK as being arrogant, rude and often times annoying tourists, an impression you don’t want to have.  Here are some tip-top tips to fit in nicely in London. Follow these tips and you’ll find yourself enjoying the company of Londoner friends.

First and foremost, have your attitude checked.
No matter jet-lagged and stressed you become, you don’t have any excuse to be ill-mannered. You’re a guest in a foreign country; you should act like one by being respectful and respectable at all times. Never complain with foul-mouth when something doesn’t go right. You may get the wrong dish for dinner, but not understanding the things in the menu doesn’t give you right to scold your waiter.

Second, blend in with the locals.
Don’t wear something that screams “tourist” like shorts. Both guys and girls can wear casual clothes, such as jeans and sneakers, but keep it low-key at all times. After all, you’ll be walking for hours around the city; it would be nice to wear something very comfortable. Well of course, you have to consider the weather and the season of your visit.

Third, do your homework and learn some British slang.
If you want to be able to communicate to Londoners well, then you better learn some of their common lingo, such as greetings or basic important things you may need to ask. Elevator for example, is called “lift,” bathrooms are called “loo,” pants are called “trousers,” subway is called “tube.”

When you hear the word “belt up” that means shut up. British accent can sometimes confuse you of other words, so if you don’t really understand someone’s accent, just say “Pardon me?” or “Sorry?” or ask him or her to repeat himself.

Fourth, travel right
London is a big city, with several districts and thousands of streets. Panoramic sights and structures can easily grab your attention, but to be able to enjoy London and not miss a thing in your visit (or stay), you should always have a map of the city and a good understand of where you’re heading. If you need a ride, you can take a black cab, or better yet, you should be able to locate in your map the London Underground Subway.

Fifth, go where the Londoners Go
There are tons of tourist attractions all across London, but there’s no better way to experience the true essence of the culture a particular place than experiencing if through the locals. Dine, party and enjoy your stay with the locals.

Last and certainly not the least, never speak with an English accent, ever
Londoners can easily notice that you’re faking it. You don’t have to fake anything, you’re a tourist. They understand neutral accent, and they appreciate it more.

Top London Tours With a Difference

No comments :

It can be very easy to think that a tour of London is all about taking an open-top bus around the city’s major tourist locations. But there’s more to the capital than the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament. In fact, if you’re looking for another side to one of the greatest cities on earth, there’s a whole alternative world waiting to be discovered.

Here are just seven tours with something different to offer, whether you’re a visitor, or a resident looking for something new and interesting to do.

One. The London Street Art Tour is quite literally an ‘off the wall’ experience. This tour will give you a close up look at some of the world’s best street artists, including Banksy, who have left their artistic mark on the brickwork of London’s capital. If you think art doesn’t need a gallery, this one’s for you.

Two. For those who appreciate a night out down at the local then a tour of some of London’s old pubs will introduce you to historic 16th Century alehouses and infamous drinking dens. Bottoms up!

Three. If you fancy an evening out with a little more meat on it, then a Death and Debauchery tour should fit the bill nicely. With a history of murder, crime and disease, London’s past has plenty to offer the visitor looking for a way to spend a scary few hours. Highlights include tales of gruesome hangings, grave robbing and the not to be missed two-headed boy of Bengal! More than a ghost walk, this definitely has the ghoul factor.

Four. If you prefer your horror to come with a laugh, then Andrew Mitchell’s Jack the Ripper Walking Tours offer a mix of comedy and informative guided tour that you will find appealing.

Five. Harry Potter may have put down his wand for now, but you can still enjoy the magic of the films with a tour of Warner Bros Studios, where you can walk through beautiful sets, look at costumes and props, sip on a cool glass of butterbeer and even fly a broomstick. A real behind the scenes look at the most successful film series of all time, not to be missed.

Six. If Harry and his antics aren’t quite ‘cultural’ enough for you, you can always walk in the footsteps of Charles Dickens as you follow the ‘author’ around the places in London that influenced his writing.  Let the Old Curiosity Shop near Lincoln’s Inn stir your imagination…

And seven. If you’re feeling energetic, you can always turn to pedal power and hire a bicycle for a saddle height tour of the city, through its streets and hidden passageways, for a personal and unique perspective on this great city.

Taking an alternative tour will add an extra dimension to any London visit, whatever the time of year. But when the days are long and the weather is fine, it makes sense to get the most out of your trip by booking overnight summer accommodation in London. Choose from a wealth of options and make sure you enjoy every minute of your stay.

Big Cottages? Not always a contradiction in terms

2 comments :

A big holiday cottage almost sounds like a  contradiction in terms. Cottages have a reputation for   looking beautiful and quaint on the outside, but being  pokey and cramped on the inside.

However, it is not always necessary to sacrifice  space for the sake of aesthetic beauty when you are  looking for a holiday cottage. There are certainly  some larger options available which still possess the  same charm and visual splendour as their more compact counterparts.

This article details a few key tips on ensuring that you are able to ascertain the proper size of an advertised cottage.

Appearances can be deceiving

When planning your break away, it is important to remember that appearances can be very deceiving in the case of the humble cottage. Although they always look idyllic and tranquil, cottages tend to give the impression of being extremely small when photographed to advertise for holiday lettings.

However, outside appearances are not always correct. What may look like a tiny, quaint building may in fact be a lot bigger than one might think – cottages have a reputation of being an almost Tardis like structure; a lot bigger on the inside than they look from the outside.

This is why it is important to request floor plans or room size information when looking for a big holiday cottage. This is a far more accurate means to ascertain the true size a property when first impressions can be so misleading and unreliable.

More bedrooms do not always mean a bigger cottage

The second key issue to keep in mind is that the number of bedrooms is not always a reliable indicator of the size of a cottage. For instance, in most thatched cottages the roof space is converted into a number of bedrooms – this can often range from one bedroom through to three or even four. Clearly, one large bedroom may be preferably to four far smaller ones depending on the needs of your booking party.

Think about design as well as size

When searching for a big cottage, it is also important to consider how the property is laid out. This is particularly important in relation to the ground floor where the communal facilities are likely to be contained – often a dining room or second reception room may have been sacrificed in order to provide an additional bedroom.Clearly this is something you need to consider when booking for a large number of people; in some cases two sharing a room might be preferable to a lack of entertaining space in the evening.

Summary
If you need a big holiday cottage, make sure that you are not deceived by misleading first impressions. Attaining a copy of the floor plan is the best way to ensure that what you eventually end up booking meets your requirements and allows for all the quaint experience of a cottage holiday with all the room you and your fellow guests need.

Top 10 things to do in Budapest

No comments :

Budapest is a majestic city, split in two by the incredible River Danube. One half, Buda, is a classic mix of medieval architecture and beautiful sights, and the other half, Pest is the more lively modern side. Both parts of the great city prove an excellent place to visit and the city buzzes with excellent things to do and see. The top 10 things to do when you visit the city are as follows.

1. Take a trip to St Stephen’s Basilica. It was built between 1851 and 1905 and is a huge parish church which can accommodate a total of 8500 people. Inside there are beautiful statues as well as a magnificent, 300-foot, neo-Renaissance dome.

2. Take a boat trip. As the River Danube is so striking this is one of the top things to try when you’re in the city- you can sit back on deck with a glass of wine and admire the beautiful sights of the Hungarian capital. You can either go on a public river cruise or rent a private boat, and with a private boat there are often additional extras like a lunch buffet, live body tables and belly dancers.

3. In summer eat at an outdoor café. Since Budapest has a consistently decent climate springtime and summertime are both glorious. The agreeable summer in the city is usually warm, sunny and long. Sit at an outdoor café and relax as you watch Hungarian life go by.

4. Take a ride on the Budapest beer bicycle. This is a great option if you’re looking for something a bit different to do on your trip. The bicycle itself is a huge carriage with 14 seats which allows you and your guests to sit and marvel the beautiful streets and open squares of the city, while drinking beer.

5. Go to the thermal baths. One of the top experiences in Budapest is the thermal baths, which are naturally hot due to the underground geothermal activity. The city is known as The City of Healing Waters because the water in the thermal baths has medicinal qualities. There are also saunas and steam rooms.

6. Embrace the nightlife. Budapest has one of Europe’s best nightlife scenes with each street turning up another hidden gem. Take a trip to Morrison’s Music Pub for some cheesy music underground in the cellar, or head to Liszt Ferenc square which is full of great, busy bars.

7. Go to Faust Wine Cellar. The oldest wine cellar in Budapest provides a traditional, wine-scented atmosphere and an excellent range of drinks. Sit at the quaint tables and taste a selection of first-rate wines.
8. Try the fiery goulash soup. It’s authentic Hungarian food at its very best, their spicy goulash is thoroughly delicious and a must-try if you’re holidaying there. It’s packed with beef, Hungarian paprika and chilli to truly set your mouth on fire.

9. Go to Buda Castle. The castle is huge, towering over the city, and is beautifully built. It was destroyed by a fire in World War II but the 13th-century palace was rebuilt with modern interiors while keeping the hidden walls and medieval structures which stayed hidden over the centuries. The views from the castle are also breathtaking, as well as the Castle’s grounds.

10. Visit the Fisherman’s Bastion. This beautiful bastion features Disney-esque turrets and pointed towers and is perfect for a picture opportunity. It was built during the 19th century for Hungarian Millennium celebrations and you can eat the top of the hill as well while looking over Pest.

That’s the top 10 but there are many other options for things to do in Budapest so no matter what you decide to do you’re sure to have a great time.

Ryan Air, The Largest Bugdet Airline in Europe

No comments :

Ryanair is the largest airline in Europe and one of the first to offer low fare flights. It has the largest network of cities served that includes, Dublin, Manchester, Paris, Porto, Fez, Marrakesh, Malta, Palermo, Rome, Bratislava, Oslo, Stockholm, Hamburg, Cannes, Sardinia, Brussels, and Venice.

So, which city would you like to visit on your next vacation and at a lower cost? With Ryan air, going on holiday to a destination of your dreams is no longer a hobby reserved for a certain social class.

To satisfy the tourists while giving them unbeatable service, Ryanair is a company offering cheaper tickets available to all, for moments of discovery and relaxation. Instead of paying for expensive trips, use your money instead to stay in the city of your dreams. This is why Ryanair has made every effort to meet this priority. But do you really know the history of cheap airliner Ryanair?

Founded in 1985, Ryanair only served London and Dublin. Since 1994, with the arrival of Michael O'Leary (current director of Ryanair), Ryanair has grown exponentially through the creation of new hubs and new lines across Europe. This growth has been able to compete with other giants of aviation. If the reputation of Ryanair is widespread, it is not just for the many tourist destinations it serves, but also and especially for airline tickets at low prices it offers.

Through its online booking system, you leave a family with two or with friends for a holiday in the sun, the mountains to the discovery of a big city or simply traveling for business, traveling aboard an aircraft of Ryanair, you will not be disappointed (e). Simply choose to do your date of departure and return to receive promotional offers from Ryanair. In addition to the reservation system, the airline has established a registration system online, checking the details of your trip, flight information, schedules adapted to your program. You offer cheaper tickets are one thing, but to accompany you throughout your stay by preparing with you is also a priority for the airline's low cost carrier Ryanair. For that reason, the car rental service s online, offers for booking hotel rooms, youth hostel (for those who opt for a linguistic or cultural exchanges with other youth) transportation from the airport to the hotel of your choice and even a guide to what (soccer tournament, golf, cultural events) that you can participate once there are available to its loyal customers. With a fleet consisting primarily of Boeing 737 seating 189 passengers, Ryanair generally serves secondary airports or those located further away from city centers or even in cities more or less important. Regarded as the first airline to lower prices in Europe and the third largest airline in France, Ryanair has established itself at the airport of Charleroi Brussels South (Belgium) where she provides more than 20 destinations! Increasingly sensitive to the needs of society, Ryanair offers cheap flight tickets to facilitate international trade which are now inevitable. To do this, through their online reservation services, airlines now have a range of significant tourist destinations; the cost is beneficial to all.

Family Holidays in Paris

by Paris Glover:

One of the best places in the world to take family holidays is in Paris. There are so many things to do there, this article will list some of the best places to visit including top days out, attractions and even restaurants, which will hopefully help to prepare you for the trip of a lifetime.

Museums and Galleries

There are so many in this city that it's hard to know which ones to visit so to help, I've selected a few of my favourites which I think you should go and see. Here they are:

Musée du Louvre
One of the world's largest collections of art and antiques, including the famous Mona Lisa. It was a royal residence for 700 years before it was a museum. Visit their web site at www.louvre.fr.

Musée d'Orsay This is a huge iron and glass railway station built in 1900 (it was originally the Gare d'Orsay) - it was converted to an arts complex in 1986. There are paintings, sculptures, decorative arts, furniture, architecture and photography, all illustrating (in their words) 'the artistic creation of the western world from 1848 to 1914'. It is considered by a lot of people to be the most viewer-friendly of the Paris museums, even in the world - I would urge you to go and decide for yourself! Find out more at www.musee-orsay.fr.

Musée Picasso There are over 3000 examples of Picasso's work plus art by Cézanne and Matisse. It all belongs to the man who collected the salt tax in the 17th century, who owned the hotel that the museum is housed in.

For the Family There are lots of places that the whole family can enjoy. The 2 best places to go are:

Disneyland Paris The one place you absolutely must visit with kids is Disneyland. Every child dreams of visiting the magical kingdom and you'll see their faces light up as they meet Mickey, Minnie and all their other favourite characters. It's great any time of year, with rides and attractions for kids and adults of all ages – there's even a world-class golf course, a luxurious spa and loads of shops. You can take advantage of some great offers, including some ‘kids go free' packages. Family holidays have never been more fun!
Aquaboulevard It's a large indoor aquatic park on the edge of Paris with waves, slides, exotic trees, swimming pools… and gorgeously inviting water. It also has tennis and squash courts, and a fitness centre. All in all, it's a great day out if you're looking to have fun, relax or indulge in a bit of sport – or all three!

Shopping For designer labels like Cartier, Dior and Chanel, you need to visit Rue du Cherche-Midi and Rue de Grenelle. If you're like me and can't quite stretch to that, then move onto the Champs-Elysees where you can find slightly more affordable stores like Zara, GAP and H&M. The one place you have to go is Paris' flea markets – they're great for picking up bargains and unusual treasures. Eating Out There are far too many great restaurants in Paris to even begin to write a good list. Instead there are 1 or 2 which you absolutely HAVE to visit:

Au Bon Accueil This chic restaurant used to be a bistro and serves a great value set lunch cooked by chef Naobuni Sasaki. The pavement terrace has an Eiffel Tower view.

L'Avant Goût This is a classic French bistro. A typical dish is the pot-au-feu de cochon – pork served with sweet potatoes, fennel and a glass of spiced broth. At lunch, you can have a soup, plat du jour, glass of wine and coffee for just €14!

So there you have it. If your planning on visiting Paris for your family holidays, the above list should keep you fairly busy. Have a great trip!

Cheap Hotels in Paris, France - Top 5

1 comment :

In Paris, you can find hotels for almost all budgets. If you have an average budget, you can accommodate in a 3-star branded hotel, but wait up to a 10MP camera with the chapter "Cleaning" slightly deficient.

There are many places to see in Paris, so finding a decent and affordable hotel is very important. Most hotels in Paris offer accommodation in small rooms, so if you want comfort, orient yourself to a four-star hotel or an apartment you can rent at a decent price for a week or a weekend, of course depending on location.

Tips for tourists:

If space is important for you, ask about the size of rooms, some may be very small.
Ask where is the nearest subway station.
We recommend you to inform yourself if the hotel has an elevator, since older buildings do not have elevators.
Check if you have a street view room, because some streets could be really noisy.

A cheap hotel is not necessarily a hotel where you can not accommodate. Although an expensive city, Paris, France has such hotels where you can accommodate without having to pay large amount of money. Here you can find our recommendations for some budget hotels that you can find in Paris:

1. Hotel Lenox Montparnasse - Lenox is close to the famous Montparnasse cemetery, although a cheap hotel, rooms are clean and modern. If possible, ask for a bigger room because most of them are small.

2. Hotel Keppler - Although it is located in an expensive area of Paris, Keppler is also a cheap hotel. The rooms are spacious, some have a balcony. Tip: Book a room in advance at this hotel, because of good prices, the demand is high.

3. Hotel de Lille - It is located in the center of Paris, one minute away from the Louvre Museum. Rooms are clean but have only basic necessities, not serves breakfast, and the five floors have no elevator and air conditioning. Also, they do not accept credit cards.

4. Hotel Plessis - A charming hotel, situated in an area of Paris less frequented by tourists. 5th floor rooms have balconies, all rooms are clean, have TV and telephone. There is no air conditioning.

5. Le Grand Hôtel Lévêque - It is one of the favorite hotels for those with limited budget. Almost all rooms have fans, phone, TV, hairdryer.

Paris Hotel Reviews: How To Find The Best Paris Hotel Deal For You

2 comments :

Places in Paris:

Paris is a large and beautiful capital city and there is so much to see, do and experience while visiting. The last thing you will want to do is worry about what hotel in Paris to stay at, or ruin your holiday/trip by choosing the wrong accommodation. This guide aims to help you find the best Paris Hotel Reviews to make your decision easier and make your trip more fun and less stressful.

With thousands of Paris Hotel Reviews available, how can you be sure that what you are reading is a genuine review and not a sales pitch? Your best bet is to read a variety of different sources and compare them. If one Paris Hotel Review is contradicting another then get a third, fourth or even fifth opinion. Its true that people do have their own perceptions and opinions on things, but if all 3 or 4 Paris Hotel Reviews state that the staff are rude in a certain hotel, then chances are you can rule that hotel out of your thoughts.

So, where do you start looking for Paris Hotel Reviews? Well, after looking around and "window shopping" for the best site to read Paris Hotel Reviews, I came across a little site called "PlacesInParis.com". This little site is great, its not too overcrowded with ads and getting you to sign up to certain things and just provides the information you really need, with unbiased, informative listings including maps, contact information and reviews. So, to find my ideal Paris Hotel I started here.

To bring down the huge list of hotels that were available in Paris, I first set down my budget and needs for the hotel. For example, I wanted to be close enough to attractions such as the Arc de Triomphe and Louvre Museum, but at the same time not paying ridiculous prices or being a hostel style environment and sharing with others. After reading quite a few Paris Hotel Reviews and looking at facilities, prices and how close the hotel is to attractions I was able to bring the huge list down to just a few contenders. In my case, budget was quite a high priority so I was able to eliminate a few more hotels based on the price of the room (I wanted to make sure I still had enough money to enjoy Paris attractions and restaurants so being a little further out of town was fine for me).

Once I had achieved this I was able to talk with the people I was travelling with to make a decision on where to stay. This process worked well for me, by making sure that we were close enough to attractions, didn't pay too much and were happy with the feel of the hotel we were all happy on our trip and less stressed out about the accommodation. So, just make sure that you weigh up your budget, needs and constraints well before booking your Paris hotel to avoid disappointment. A lot of time can be saved by reading unbiased and informative Paris Hotel Reviews.
