by David Bryce

When trying to figure out a new place to venture to, sometimes it is hard to know what is in store for you. It isn’t like you can just pull out a crystal ball and see what your vacation will be like. It is always best to go at it being educated and having some information on places to see and things to do. Branson, Mo. can be one of the best places to experience with your family.

Entertainment: Branson has a plethora of entertainment for you to choose from. From musical performances, golf courses, to afternoon train rides through the mountain wilderness, you will find plenty to do that will sate your need for getting out and seeing something new. Visit the Bandstand Theater, Thousand Hills Golf Resort, or Branson Railway Tours. All places are designed for your comfort and enjoyment, showing you that famous southern hospitality.

The Great Outdoors: Being nestled in the Ozarks, you have many choices of outdoor activities you can do. The weather in that area is generally very mild and warm year round, so you don’t have to worry about your plans being ruined much. Do check your forecasts before you plan a day on one of the two major lakes near Branson. But even hikes and horse trail rides can be done in minimal rain. The ziplines in the canopies of the forests provide you with spectacular views of the vegetation and heart pounding fun.

Theme Parks: When you hear the words “Theme Park”, images of carnival rides and games burst into action in your mind. In Branson, there are several different kinds of theme parks to enjoy. You have Silver Dollar City, Branson’s most well known park. Here you can ride more than 30 rides, eat food until you are ready to drop, and find many unique shops and crafters of the area. The Track is just that. A splendid go-kart racing track that is great fun for the whole family. And there are the waterparks for those hot days when the cool water just feels heavenly on your skin and rejuvenates your tired body.

Museums: You wouldn’t think of museums as being an attraction worth visiting a place for, but Branson has so many different kinds, you need to see them all. The Gone with the Wind museum takes you back into the past when history was all gentlemen and ladies, plantations and a different way of life. The Titanic museum is one of the best in the country, showcasing artifacts and memorabilia from the wreckage and immortalizing all the victims of that horrific event in our history. Ripley’s Believe It or Not has an eye catching building that takes you off guard. Explore things that seem too strange to be true and decide for yourself if you think it is real. And there is the Butterfly Place, a conservatory of sorts where you can wander amongst the beauty of nature as the butterflies flutter around and gardens bloom.

Shopping: Branson has several great shopping districts for any type of traveler looking to do a little browsing. There are the very trendy places at Branson Landing, the boutiques at the Grand Village Shops, the closeouts at the Outlet Mall, and the unique one of a kind items at Silver Dollar City.
Renting your private cabin at Thousand Hills puts you very close to everything and guarantees you will have an amazing time with your family! Pack your bags!
