Vegas has an off season! I know, you are shocked I was as well. From Thanksgiving through the Christmas holiday is considered the off-season in Vegas and many shows go dark during days they would normally be up and running. If you travel during this time be diligent about ensuring you can do what you want during your visit. This is a GREAT time to enjoy Las Vegas with a few less visitors and with cooler temperatures for those that prefer a less crowded atmosphere.
Vegas Veteran Tip #2: Pack your best Nike's, running shoes are a must when taking on the Vegas strip!
Take it from me, cabs in Vegas can be very expensive if you rely on them for transportation (plus you miss a big part of the sights on the strip). You will be doing a lot of walking even if it is just the interior parts of the hotel/casinos. Having some shoes that fit well and cushion your feet will go a LONG way during your stay in Las Vegas.
If you get to Las Vegas and you have forgotten your favorite running shoes, there is a Ross on the strip, which provides a cheap alternative to the Prada store.
Vegas Veteran Tip #3: For your first trip, keep it on the strip!
There is going to be so much for you to take in during your first trip to Las Vegas and the majority of those sights are going to be located on the strip. The Bellagio fountains, The Mirage volcano, The Treasure Island Sirens Show, Caesars Palace's moving statues and those are just a few of the free sights on the strip. I think you get the point. This isn't to say that there are not FABULOUS off strip hotel and casino's because there are (one of my favorite hotels is off strip) but your first trip will have you investigating every corner of the strip, making an on strip hotel convenien.
Vegas Veteran Tip #4: Leave your diet at home and bring your appetite.
Food is as much a part of the scene in Las Vegas as gambling, show girls, and complimentary drinks. There are places I consider food theme parks, Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville & Toby Keith's I Love This Bar. There is an entertaining atmosphere, souvenirs, delicious drinks and oodles of food! This isn't even considering the buffets or the five star hotel venues. You won't regret enjoying the food that Las Vegas has to offer.
Vegas Veteran Tip #5: There are ways to save money even in Las Vegas.
Technology is your friend when visiting Vegas! From text specials that send discounts to your phone, phone apps that give you discounts when you are in town and Groupon, you can save a TON of money.
Start looking at Groupon specials before your travel, if you are looking at airfare its time to check Groupon Las Vegas. There are frequent deals on buffets, food, and even entertainment packages in Las Vegas.
Other places to look for discounts are complimentary coupons at check-in at your hotel, casino loyalty programs, and discounts that are given out on the casino floor and in other Vegas locations.

1. Harbin
Heilongjiang Province, the most northeast part of China, when viewed on a map has the shape of a swan. Its capital city is Harbin, which is located south of Heilongjiang. Not only for its special position, but also as the center of Heilongjiang's political, economic, educational and cultural life, Harbin is described as the pearl beneath the swan's neck. Lying on the east of the Songnen Plain, what is more, Harbin plays a vital role in communications between South and North Asia as well the regions of Europe and the Pacific Ocean.
2. Daqing
Location: Situated in the west region of Heilongjiang Province, Daqing City neighbors Suihua in the east and Qiqihar in the northwest. It is bordered to the south by Jilin Province and is about 159 kilometers (99 miles) northeast of Harbin. History: Daqing region was the hunting land of the Mongolian Dorbod tribe during the early years of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).Soviet Russia established Saertu Station during the construction of the middle East Railway. Land reclamation in this region began in 1904 and villages were gradually developed. It was in 1959, with the discovery of the Daqing Oilfield, that Daqing City - formerly Anda City - was established.
3. Daxinganling
Location: Daxinganling is in the north end of China's territory. It is west to Xiaoxinganling, east to Inner Mongolia, north to Songnen Plain and south to Russia. History: Early in the late Paleolithic Age, human beings started to live in this area. It was already a state of the Zhou Dynasty (770BC-221BC) empire. From Sui Dynasty (581-618) to Liao Dynasty (916-1125), it was controlled by the Shiwei people (the ancestor of Oroqen Nationality). In the 16th century, it was reigned by the Manchu people. In 1970, it became a district under the direct guide of Heilongjiang Province.
4.Hegang
Location: Situated in northeastern Heilongjiang Province, Hegang is separated from Jiamusi City by the Mudan (Peony) River in the south and separated from Russia by the Amur (Heilongjiang) River in the north. History: Hegang was originally called Xingshan named after the Xinghua Mine that established in early twentieth century. By 1900s, few people had settled down there. Later, Hegang got increasingly large-scale exploitation due to its large cache of coal.
5. Heihe
Location: Heihe City is located in the northeast region of Heilongjiang Province, neighboring Yichun and Suihua in the southeast and Qiqihar in the southwest. It is separated by the Nenjiang River from Inner Mongolia in the west and by Heilongjiang River (Amur River) from Amur Oblast of Russia in the northeast. To the north, it neighbors Daxing'anling Region. History: Heihe is one of the five ancient cities of Heilongjiang Province. Humans settled Heihe as early as the Paleolithic Age and it became home to local tribes later. During the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), this was the first place troops sent to Heilongjiang were stationed.
