Shop Early at Atlanta Holiday Markets

Shoppers can get an early start on their holiday gift buying at several Atlanta holiday markets.  People who don’t want to wait for Black Friday deals will have shopping opportunities earlier in November.  Buyers can find unique and handcrafted items for those on their gift lists.  Here are the highlights of some upcoming holiday markets in the Atlanta area.

The 2013 Southern Chic Holiday Bazaar is scheduled for November 12 from 4-9pm.  The market features items made by Southern based designers.  More than 25 designer collections will be featured, showcasing jewelry, clothing, accessories, home décor, skin and beauty products, and unique gifts.  The holiday bazaar will be held at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center’s 4th floor gallery, located at 351 Peachtree Street NE in Buckhead.
The 3rd Annual Elegant Elf Marketplace will be held November 16-17 in Sandy Springs.  The two day market will feature 75 vendors offering fine art, home décor, jewelry, accessories, gourmet food items, and much more.  Several prizes will be raffled over the weekend.  Proceeds will benefit education, the arts, heritage preservation, and environmental projects in Sandy Springs.  The marketplace will be held at Lake Forrest Elementary, located at 5020 Sandy Springs Circle.  Admission is $5.  Children ages 10 and
under are admitted free.

The ICE Holiday Shopping Spectacular is one of the largest annual events sponsored by the Indie Craft Experience.  The holiday market will be held November 23-24 at Ambient Plus Studio, located at 585 Wells St SW in Atlanta.  Admission is $5.  Children ages 12 and under are admitted free.  More than 120 vendors will showcase handcrafted items, vintage goods, and unusual gifts.  ICE will also have an annual Pop-Up Shop in the Candler Park neighborhood, at 1390 McLendon Avenue NE.  The shop will be open Tuesday-Sunday from November 15-December 30, offering handcrafted gift items for sale.

The 2013 Atlanta Christmas Market is scheduled for December 6-8 at the Georgia World Congress Center in downtown Atlanta.  The market is a partnership between Entrepreneurs Helping Entrepreneurs and Make-A-Wish Georgia.  This premier holiday event will feature outstanding shopping, holiday themed entertainment, and concessions.  Santa will be on hand for photos.  Large attendance is expected, as the market will be held the same weekend as the SEC Football Championship at the adjacent Georgia Dome.

The Christmas House Arts and Crafts Show will be held at the historic Mable House Arts Center December 6-12.  Shoppers will find handmade jewelry, pottery, candles, bath products, holiday decorations, toys, and food items from 65 exhibitors.  Visitors can enjoy lunch in Mable’s Tea Room after shopping.  A variety of special items will be offered at silent auction.  Mable House is located at 5239 Floyd Road in Mableton.
